NY Times Bestselling YA Novel The Iron King Comic Book Releases This Week

The best-selling young adult novel “the Iron King” is being released in a manga comic book form this week.

Julie Kagawa, New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of the Iron Fey and Blood of Eden series of books for young adults, “My fans know that I am a huge comic, manga, and anime enthusiast, and I write in a very cinematic and visual manner in part due to my love of this medium”.

The monthly series starts this week in both print versions as well as eBooks.  The 4-issue “the Iron King” comic book series features the art of Lidia Chan, written by Julie Kagawa and Sara Gundell.

The fans funded the series as part of an Indiegogo campaign.

In October, Bluewater is partnering up with Piglion Studios to develop an animated comic book version the 1st issue. To view a sample of the motion comic book cover:http://youtu.be/v4qzzhvVGlk

“The goal is to get people reading…simple.  I was a reluctant reader growing up and comic books helped my reading skills.  Comic books are not only for pop culture fun, but also can be used as a tool.  Some of our biography titles are taught in schools". said Bluewater publisher Darren G. Davis.  "Working one-on-one with Julie on the Iron King, the book will be very close to the novel.  I guess that is why I am so passionate about this project"

The book is being released with three different covers. Print copies of The Iron King can be ordered exclusively at Comic Flea Market here: http://bit.ly/XKXzyo

You can download these titles on iTunes, Kindle, Nook, ComiXology, DriveThru Comics, Google Play, My Digital Comics, OverDrive, Iverse, Wowio, Kobo & wherever eBooks are sold.
