Comic News : THE UNITED STATES MARINES CORPS JOIN THE WORLD OF COMIC BOOKS

Bluewater Productions is releasing a new comic book on the history of another branch of the military, the Untied States Marines Corps.   The real heroes are being showcased in their own comic book, American Defenders: THE MARINES that is available Wednesday, Nov 6, 2013.

From defending the U.S. Navy from the Barbary Pirates, the United States Marines are first on the scene and the last to leave.  In American Defenders: THE MARINES, we find out how the few, the proud and the brave not only fight for freedom, but continue to defend America in their greatest times in need whether it be in the Halls of Montezuma or on the shores of Tripoli, you will be amazed their courage, tenacity and bravery.

Written by Don Smith, art by Kenny Farmer and Jeremy Kahn with a cover by Nathan Girten, the special edition comic book is also on the NOOK, Kindle & iTunes. The American Defenders series has focused on other branches of the military such as the Navy and the Army.  The comic book series will also venture into the other branches of the U.S. Military next year with the Air Force.

“The Marines are America's bravest! The truly are the best this country has to offer and it was my honor to their story!” said writer Don Smith.

Bluewater has ventured into military and politics series Political Power. The graphic novel company is releasing Killing Geronimo: The Hunt For Bin Laden through Simon & Schuster earlier this year.

The Political Power series was launched earlier in 2009 as a companion piece to the successful Female Force biography titles. The comic allows Bluewater to delve into the history of certain newsworthy politicians and political movements and understand how a person has achieved the level of office in the government. Previous subjects include Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton, Colin Powell, Ted Kennedy, Richard Nixon & Hillary Clinton.

Bluewater Comics biography comic book series has been featured on CNN, Politico, Roll Call, The Today Show, Fox News and in People Magazine as well as thousands of other places.
