CoW: Cover of the Week 6/13/12

by Darryll "YTC" Carter

Batman & Robin #10

Golden Udder Winner
I have been waiting for this issue to come out so I could post it as cover of the week. Incidentally, it was almost beat out by the X-men Legacy cover featuring Frenzy. But the powerhouse and brick-house that she is, was not enough to stand up against a cover with; Bruce, Dick, Jason, Tim and Damian on the cover. Not to mention the cover is letting on that Tim and Damian's hate and more hate relationship may have been revived. As of post new 52 it seemed to have gone with the birds, or Robins in this case.

THIS WEEK IN AWESOME # 8

Welcome Clashers. We are back with an ALL NEW, THIS WEEK IN AWESOME, featuring epic moments in comics we read this past week. And Get ready cause they are insane!

Hector Ramirez:

From Batman # 8: Alfred and Bruce are in the Batcave dispatching the Bat-family to engage the Talon all over Gotham. When a swarm of Talon descend upon them, Bruce gets Alfred to safety then emerges in a suit of armor ready for battle.

Jake Estrada:

From Prophet # 24: Okay the setting opens there are a bunch of status pods abroad a space ship in space, a colony of other pods, and it has John Prophet Awakening and it says, John Prophet is awake. That scene opening with this bold new world as Prophet is among the wreckage.

Darryll "YTC" Carter:

The YTC epic moment this week is actually- epic moments.

The first is from Wonder Woman #8. A bullet penetrates Diana’s Bracelets of the Aegis, passing through her forearm and into her chest… WTF?!

Secondly, this one made up for the depressing shock of the first, is from Suicide Squad #7.  Savant is trying to apprehend the escaped clown femme fatale, Harley Quinn. After insulting her lovely taste in fashion he is lured into stepping on a mine Harley planted and locked in a cell. Harley had this to say. Lmao. Love my Harl.

Frankie Rodriguez:

Honestly, it's from X-Men Legacy 260. Rogue's speech as to why she leaves to go to the Jean Grey School. One of the most epic speeches in recent history. I am not saying the speech again cause it is in my review of X-Men Legacy: Lost Tribes.
