Yugioh Card Of The Week: 6/08/13

HeroicChampionExcalibur-CT09-EN-ScR-LE

Sorry about the long hiatus its been really hectic. Anyways today's card is the Heavenly Sword Excalibur from Soul Ea... I mean Heroic Champion Excalibur. This card is a really powerful exceed card with a pretty strong effect although its cost is rather high as well. It allows you to double its original attack until the end phase so you should use this only in the dire of circumstances. Not sure who uses this card or even if it was in the show since I haven't been watching Zexal recently but what I can say is that this card can do pretty well in warrior theme decks.

Yugioh Card of the Week: 4/12/13

Number39Utopia-SP13-EN-C-1E

To start off April we will bring you the latest Yugioh Card of the Week and this time we step away from the 5Ds era and now heading to Zexal.   This week we will be focusing on non other then Yuma's favorite card NBumber 39: Utopia.  Exceed Cards work similar to Synchros except instead of adding monster card levels this time you use monsters with the same levels.  To summon Utopia you will need two monsters with same level in order to summon it.  However Exceed cards work differently then any other card in the game.  This is because instead of sacrificing the monsters and putting them in the graveyard they actually go under the Exceed monsters as shields and used for other effects.  Utopia's power allows you to use one of the monsters under it as a shield to protect its destruction which is a quite handy effect.  Also whats good about Exceed monsters is that they are even easier to summon then Synchros so its easier to pull off the winning play.  If you haven't started using Exceed monsters I suggest you should start off with Utopia since he is one of the easier monsters to summon and has a pretty nifty effect to go along with it.

Yugioh Card of the Week: 3/27/13

SupersonicSkullFlameWB01-EN-UR-UE

In the last installments of Yugioh Cards of the Week we featured cards that were either fan favorites or Main Character Signature Cards.  This week we are going really obscure at least compared to the earlier weeks.  This weeks card is Super Sonic Skull Flame.  Now this card is kind of special because its the first card made   that actually changed its Atk from the anime version to the real life version.  Normally its just effects that change but this time its also his base Attack points is strange. In the Anime it was actually 3000 Atk points for his base stats but in the real game Konami reduced it to 2600.  Its possible that they changed because his effect would pretty much bring him back to 3000 anyway but who knows.  This card surprisingly is the first time I don't recommend using unless you got three copies of the game when it was released or got the Skull Flames separately.  Yea for this week I am actually talking about a card not recommended to play just because his effect would force you to get multiple copies of another card just to use the card for its full potential.  If it weren't a game promo I would say that the card would be okay to use but due to its effect I personally think not many players should use this card unless they really want to or if you somehow got a hold of the other cards.

Yugioh Card of the Week 3/18/13

BlackwingArmorMaster-BATT-EN-SFR-UE

We may be in the middle of March but that doesn't mean we will be slowing down as you bring to you this week's featured card.  Today for the Yugioh Card of the Week its Crow's favorite Synchro Monster Blackwing Armor Master.   This pretty epic card is one way to strike down your opponent in the toughest of times since it will make your opponents monsters defenseless. This is because it can cause the attacked monster go down to 0 atk points after using his special effect.  This can be extremely crucial when your opponent has many overpowered monsters.  The best part is that you will not be damaged when you attack them and it protects itself from being destroyed in the process.

Yu-Gi-Oh Card of the Week: 2/25

Welcome again to another installment for the Yugioh card of the week.  This week's card is none other then Yusei's favorite Stardust Dragon. During the era of Yugioh 5Ds this card was a heavily used card but thanks to Zexal it became kind of underrated card. From what I hear synchros have been ignored in the metagame in the recent years but personally I think you should give this card a chance. Its effect is one of the better synchro type effects because it doesn't rely on any specific cards so anyone can use it. Thanks to its effect you will be able to stop its destruction and allows you to summon again on the field. 5Ds may be long over but that doesn't have to mean that this card stay collecting dust so if you are currently not using it or haven't used it at all I think you should have another look at it.

Yugioh Card of the Week: 1/21/13

After the long hiatus from the holidays and being busy in the last couple of weeks we will now go back to our usual schedule of the Yugioh Card of the Week. Before I begin Happy New Year everyone and I hope that this year will be a great year for dueling. Anyways for this week we will be covering a trap card that is used by almost everyone and has become one of the best staple cards in many players' decks due to the great effect it has.  Today's card is Scrap Iron Scarecrow.  It was introduced during the Yugioh 5Ds Era and is one of my favorites as well.  For those who aren't aware it has the ability to stop one of your opponents' attacks during the battle phase and the best part is that the card will remain on the field after you use it and it goes back face-down.  However this can also be an issue since your opponent will now know what you have on the field and can actually counteract it by either destroying it or stopping its effect. Other then that the card has a really great effect and is a great way to protect your monsters for any form of summoning or to just keep your monsters on the field.

Yugioh Card of the Week: 12/9/12

http://images4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20111224073903/yugioh/images/7/70/ArmedDragonLV10-DT05-EN-DRPR-DT.jpg

Continuing with GX once again we will now enter the second week of December with today's featured card. Today I will be covering non other then Armed Dragon Lvl 10. The previous forms of this card were released way back in Soul of the Duelist.  Level cards in general were usual unpopular just because there were either too hard to summon or that the gimmick itself wasn't that interesting during the time they were introduced. Chazz from Yugioh GX helped made them a little more popular after using them quite in a bit in the show and taking the Armed Dragons to the next level.  When the card was released in the real card game it became one of the most sought after cards because of his effect and sweet design.  Its effect allows you to be able to destroy all your opponents' face-up monsters with the cost of discarding a card so it became one of the most used cards in peoples' decks. The previous forms of this card were only able to destroy all monsters that were less then or equal to their atk points so when Lvl 10 was created it completely dominated the fields.  Since then there have been several reprints so getting this card shouldn't be too hard at this point so it can be a great addition to anyone's decks. Keep in mind you would need the weaker forms of this card to play it but if that doesn't bother you I say its worth using it.

Yugioh Card of the Week: 12/2/12

http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20120616113203/yugioh/images/thumb/7/7f/CyberDragon-BP01-EN-C-1E.png/300px-CyberDragon-BP01-EN-C-1E.png

The holiday times are coming but that doesn't stop me for bringing you the latest Yugioh Card of the Week. This week I will be covering another card used during GX called Cyber Dragon.  This is yet another fan favorite card that all players alike have in their decks.  Cyber Dragon was used by Zane Truesdale in the anime to perform fusion summonings in several different occasions.  In the real card game it can be useful for just about anything.  Its ability to allow you to summon this card when you have no monsters while your opponent has at least one can really help you out a tight squeeze. Not to mention its 2100 atk can give a pretty good advantage over your opponent. This card has also been used in several different tournament level decks so for those who haven't taken a look at this card I'd say check it out.

Yugioh Card of the Week: 11/25/12

http://images4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20120621231853/yugioh/images/thumb/f/fe/ElementalHERONeos-RYMP-EN-C-UE.png/300px-ElementalHERONeos-RYMP-EN-C-UE.png

After a break for Thanksgiving we return for yet another installment of Yugioh Card of the Week.  Previous weeks I covered cards that were flawed in the card game or ones that haven't become real cards.  This time I am going to be mentioning a good card that many people who enjoy playing Elemental Heroes in their decks. Today's card is Elemental Hero Neos.  It was mainly used in the show by Jaden for summoning Neos fusions. Neos is quite a powerful card that can actually be used in any deck but mostly Elemental Hero based decks.  It can be used in many different strategies such as fusions or even when you just want to summon powerhouses to the field.  I personally used this in several of my decks and I highly recommend it if you haven't used it before.

Yugioh Card of the Week: 11/15/12

http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20101204142223/yugioh/images/thumb/3/3a/PhilosophersStoneSabatiel-GX02-JP-VG.png/300px-PhilosophersStoneSabatiel-GX02-JP-VG.png

Its that time again and lets get this rolling. In this next installment of the Yugioh Card of the Week we will be moving away from the first season and go to Duel Academy.  For those who don't know Duel Academy revolves around the second anime series Yu-gi-oh GX.  Anyways the card I have chosen for this week is the Spell Card Philosopher's Stone- Sabatiel. No I am not talking about Full Metal Alchemist but what I am talking about is the card that Jaden used against Kagemaru.  This card's effect allows players to add a card from their deck when a winged kuriboh is sent to the graveyard and then its sent back to the hand. The drawback though is that you must pay half of your life points per usage however after you use the card three times another effect triggers.  What happens on the fourth time of activation is that you will be able to select one of your face up monsters and it will gain atk points multiplied by the number of your opponent's monsters so the life point cost is worth the cost.  This card has yet to be released in the TCG or the OCG although I think it may have a chance with some minor tweaking.

Yugioh Card of the Week: 11/13

http://images4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20091015164043/yugioh/images/5/50/DMx147_Timaeus_awakened.jpg

With another week passed we will now go into the third Yugioh Card of the Week.  This time we will be covering a card that has not and will not be in the real tcg card game. Today's card is Timeaus and he was one of the three dragons that played a key role in the Dartz arc of the original anime series.  As much as this card was cool as well as the other two dragons we will not see real card forms of these at any time.  They were used only for plot convenience and make no sense to be made into the TCG or even the OCG. The Seal of Orichalcos may have turned into a real card but that doesn't mean that these dragons will too.  If Konami decided to make these they might as well even make the armor cards that Rafael and the rest of Dartz's minions used but we all know for sure that is not going to happen.

Yugioh Card of the Week: 10/27/12

Yugioh Card of the Week: 10/27/12

So in the second Yugioh Card of the week we will be exploring the card called Card of Sanctity.  This card roots back to the original battle city where many different players used it.  It was mainly used by Yugi and Kaiba but Pegasus did use it once as well.  This card's effect was very simple and usefull.  It basically allowed you to draw until six cards so it was a very benefial card.  However Konami decided to do something very evil to this card.  When it finally got to the real card game they nerfed it so badly that only decks that revolve around removing or having less cards in the hand. In other words what could have been a staple card for almost every deck has now become a gimmick card that few people use.

Yu-Gi-Oh Card of the Week: 10/13

Hello I am Darkon633 and this is my first post on Broken Infinite. Today I am going to give you the First Yu-Gi-Oh card of the week.

For this week its the trap card called magical hats.  Now I bet you are wondering why I chose this card.  Well the answer is you never know what traps lay behind each hat.  This card was primly used by Yugi from the first season of the original series and its actually not a bad card to use even now.

There may be a huge difference between the anime and the real card game effect but either way it can be a nuisance. Since this card can protect your monsters it may be able to help you perform an Exceed Summon or even a Synchro Summon. Well one thing is for certain though never use it on the dueling network cause it will seriously make your head spin.
