If you are looking for a high level of depth or drama, Danger Girl: Revolver is not for you. The tale revolves around an international super spy spec ops team titled, Danger Girl. The team takes on various jobs and performs them for a fee or for humanitarian efforts. Danger Girl is pubescent entertainment at its best. It’s guided by hair thin action movie plot accompanied by the zeal and sex appeal only obtainable by the love child of Charlie’s Angels, Octopussy and Raider’s of the Lost Ark.
But that’s how it’s supposed to be. Danger Girl knows what it is and does it well. It shares similar traits with Japanese manga/animes that also have leading female characters; courageous independent woman, goofball male supporting character and strong surrogate father figure. If you just want to be entertained or are all about ladies kicking butt and blowing #$%@ up, than Danger Girl is for you.
A full Danger Girl review will be up upon the release of issue 4.
