CARDFIGHT VANGUARD OF THE WEEK

Introduction:

    It is another week as we continue our first month of CFV Card of the Week. And we continue with the Royal Paladin Clan. Get ready as we reveal our Grade 1 card.


MONTH 1, WEEK 2: Royal Paladin
Grade 1:Young Pegasus Knight

Effects:
  During your main phase, if you have a Royal Paladin vanguard, when you put a card into the soul, this unit gets 3000 more points.


Lowdown:

    This card has been used throughout the first season of the Cardfight Vanguard anime. But it has not shined more brightly in the 2 parter match between Aichi and former Team Asteroid member, Kyo during episodes 41 and 42. In said 2 parter, Aichi vows to win with this very card ...a Grade 1.

    This card is great as a rear guard as long as you put cards in the soul. So, Margal would be ESPECIALLY effective combo to use with Young Pegasus Knight. YPK will get 3000 points by its own effect while Margal lets you choose who to give 3000 more attack points to a Royal Paladin Unit. Give those points to YPK and you can power him up to incredible strength.Four Margals with all effects from both cards going to Young Pegasus Knight would boost the card up to 30000 points.This is without any other boosting cards. Make sure that if you use Young Pegasus Knight that you plan on using the soul as a strategy, otherwise, having it in your deck would not be useful.


So, Young Pegasus Knight is our CVF Card of the Week. And while you have to wait a month for a new Grade 1, next week, we hit a Royal Paladin Grade 2. See ya then.

Cardfight VANGUARD! Card of the Week!

Introduction:

    Welcome. We are now putting a little cards into our selection of Geekdom. You will see a Vanguard Card here every week. We will also start doing a Yugioh Card of the week very soon. As to what Cardfight Vanguard is; it's a trading card game that you can use to battle and use strategies to win. The cards are split between species, Clans and Grades. The species deals with the look of the creatures. the Clans decide which monsters work together well with whatever attribute. The Grades decide the power levels of said cards. Each week, we will take 1 card from a grade and highlight it. A Clan will take the month but each week, 1 grade of card will be displayed. So, with that done, let's rock.


 MONTH 1, WEEK 1: Royal Paladin

GRADE 0: BARCGAL

Effects:

 Auto: When another Royal Paladin unit (monster) rides on this card(put the other monster on top of it), you can send this unit to the Rear guard.

Action: When you rest this card, you can superior call either "Flogal" or "Future Knight Lou" to the rear guard then shuffle your deck.


Lowdown:

   This card is often used as the starting Vanguard in the anime of the same name, which you can find on Youtube on the Cardfight Vanguard channel or part of Broken Infinite's Toon Vengeance block.

   In reality, Barcgal has been accused of being just too powerful. Hence, he is no longer allowed to be use as a starting vanguard. Still, if you end up riding him, you can use his effects. Being able to become a rear guard is useful but his second ability allows for another Royal Paladin unit, which definitely helps. The Royal Paladin's are know to help each other gain more power together as a clan and Barcgal definitely helps with that. Congrats to Barcgal, the first Vanguard Card of the Week.
